About Us

Our story begins in Cairo, where we first met as magazine editors. When our paths crossed again in London years later, we knew that there was an untold story about Egyptian beauty heritage and the prized oils that Egypt produces. 

We set out to pair that heritage with the latest British innovation in sustainable beauty, and the result was Khali Min. Our certified vegan, performance-driven products address hair based on need, challenging the outdated idea that hair should be categorised by type. 

Ownership of our process and formulas was central from the beginning: we weighed each ingredient for provenance and performance. We worked with an independent formulator with a passion for sustainable beauty who could translate our vision and harness ingredients more commonly used in skincare. 

Rescue Oil, our first offering, showcases pure oils we source directly from Egypt and blends them with botanical ingredients from around the world. Our next product, Clean Cream, was born out of the desire to create a naturally scented, silicone-free leave-in conditioner without compromising on performance. Our starting point was Aloe, known for centuries as the Plant of Immortality in Egypt. 

We are currently developing our own blend of citrus oils from fruit harvested from the Marei Orchard, a Nile Valley farm that has been in the family of one of Khali Min’s founders since the 1930s.
